International – Strategic Partner – Russia & CIS
Do you want to take the lead in growing VikingGenetics’ business in Russia and CIS? In this newly established role, you will get an exciting job with the responsibility of getting VikingGenetics established on new markets, which means that you will also be given the opportunity to influence the development of the whole company. You will be given an exciting key role in which you will report to the Head of Distribution Sales and be responsible for sales development through distributors and to large accounts (existing and new). This means supporting and advising the customers in growth and development of the VikingGenetics brand, products, systems and solutions. You will do this by increasing the technical awareness for distributors, their sales teams and their farming clients with the aim of becoming a strategic partner for both distributors and farmers. You advise on suitable bull selection based on herd and farmer requirements, and you support the marketing team with ideas, testimonials etc. and by attending various industry events. Furthermore, you will be responsible for seeking out new market and distribution opportunities and liaising with the Export Managers to develop a strategy for such opportunity fruition. You will be involved in the region’s targets and budget and be involved with direct sales to large farms to achieve desired sales goals.
To succeed in this job, it is an advantage to have experience from the agriculture industry e.g., from selling semen, nutrition or farm equipment. It is important, that you have knowledge about nutrition or genetics (breeding and fertility), and it is therefore an advantage if you have a relevant educational background within agriculture, as veterinarian or similar. Furthermore, you have experience cooperating with farmers and distributors. You have experience with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft 365, and you master written and spoken Russian and English to a high standard.
As a person you are motivated by developing the business of distributors and farmers, and due to your ability to identify and understand the customers’ needs, you manage to meet them as well. You are a hands-on kind of person, who gets things done, and with your excellent people and communication skills and strong interpersonal skills you build great relationships both internally and externally. You have a commercial mindset, a “can do” attitude and a huge drive, and you work result-oriented, professionally and proactively. You are self-motivated, knowledgeable and trustworthy, and you take ownership for your areas of responsibility.
